[status] Happy Halloween! Good sailing yesterday and into the night before the wind decided to come and go a couple of time, i guess we needed the exercise... Finally pulled itself together around 2am and we have beec cruising along since. Cant wait for the SE wind shift, would love to be headed to NZ and not off into the southern ocean.

[s]Fred, our new Raymarine autopilot, failed at 10.00h yesterday, so we have had to rely on Fredlet, a little 25 year old rubber-band backup!
We have therefore adopted a conservative sailing policy, with emphasis on balance and Fredlet’s survival, rather than speed!
Despite that, we have progressed very well and even the sea state seems to be getting a little more comfortable with the beam on swells dropping to 2mt.
