The weather behaved well today with 20 knots SE, nice sailing! We took heed of David's comments about the Maskelyne islands and decided 20 knots and poor visibility with passing showers were not ideal conditions. Instead we carried on to Malekula and now safely tucked into tranquil Banam Bay. Tomorrow we head to Pentecost island, aiming to see the land diving!

[status] At dawn this morning we could see Kandavu Islands where there are meant to be, just south of Suva. So we are nearly there. Suva is 20 miles away, about 3 hours sailing. I assure you we all want to be there and to stop rocking about. Also good that we will enter harbour in daylight. should be there between 3 and 4 pm. It would be neat if we can get 'Custom's Clearance' today.

[s]Safely arrived in Savusavu at 10.15 local time after a great sail overnight; a nice welcome committee from Sel Citron, Ithaka and Exit Strategy. Now just waiting for the officials to clear us in so that we can move to a mooring and crack open a celebratory beer.[END]
