Anchored in Harris Bay, Kawau. Scallop dive out by the Beehive Island. Plentiful and easy to find. Silty bottom though. Back into Harris Bay and now waiting for weather to head out to the Barrier.

*[status]* thought we had better belatedly update to assure you we made it
home to Wellington after another wonderful few days in the Sounds including
walks all over Blumine Island (a predator free island with amazing WWII gun
emplacements worth checking out fellow cruisers) and along the Endeavour
Inlet to Resolution Bay section of the Queen Charlotte Track. Beautiful
trip home though very light wind so motorsailed the whole way.[END]
position 35 15.0024s 174 17.8986e Always a favourite to come back to. This harbour is sheltered in any blow except easterlies. There is old whaling station ruins to wander around and a few walking tracks around the foreshore and up the hill toward the road back to Rawhiti. Great anchorage to chill out or do as much as you want.

DOC hut with walkway beside up to Dukes Nose. This is a good walk with stunning views, but, the last part of the walk is hand over hand chains. Stunning views.

Anchored in Waitepipi Bay. Lovely sheltered bay. Took dinghy ride around edge of harbour. Found DOC hut with walkway beside up to Dukes Nose. This is a good walk with stunning views, but, the last part of the walk is hand over hand chains. We didn't do this part up to bluff but the views we had were stunning enough.
