Arrived in Noumea on Sunday, and treated ourselves to cheeses, french baking and red wine :-) Keen to get moving to Australia but watching what Ula is up to first...
Getting ready to leave Luganville this afternoon for Noumea by Christmas. Wind currently coming from where we want to go but forecast to change to Easterly. We are loaded up with sacks of cacao, virgin coconut oil and kava powder for our new small business 'The Little Shipping Co.'
Arrived Luganville, Santo on Thursday afternoon. Not the most sheltered anchorage but hopefully sailing to the nearby Malo and Aore islands to find vanilla and cacao today.
Arrived at Port Stanley, Malekula last night. Anchored with SV Messalina in the lee of Norsup Island.
Meskylnes and not a good place to be heard from !
At Port Vila, just about to head to Malakula Island. Should take around 18 hrs, going to sail overnight and get to the south of the island in time for the incoming tide. We'll be sailing with Jonathan and Cara on SV Messalina.

Hoping once we get out of Viti Levu's wind shadow the wind will be a bit stronger and not coming from where we want to go! Just about to start the motor to see if we can get out the passage and get set up on our rhumbline for Vanuatu before dark.
Leaving today from Fiji to Tanna Vanuatu
Watching the weather for the next week as preparing for the Fiji to Vanuatu passage
Happy to have found a reasonably sheltered anchorage with the friendly company of the NZ boat 'Navire' who we have up until now only known through the morning gulf harbour radio net. Planning on going snorkeling tomorrow around honeymoon island, and we are expecting an early visit from some young Fijian guys frim a local village for a lure making 'workshop'. They came by today asking us for a new fancy plastic lure but were shocked to hear Kat invite them back to make a lure out of an old rainbow umbrella!
