Ithaka is an OVNI 435 13 metre aluminium cutter built by Alubat in France in 2003. Ana and Colin bought her in Panama in 2012 and sailed via the Pacific Islands to New Zealand in 2013 where they stayed a year longer than expected! In 2015 they spent 6 months exploring Fiji and Vanuatu before returning to New Zealand in October to prepare for the crossing to Chile. They set sail on Christmas Day and arrived in Valdivia, Chile, 42 days later. After some coastal cruising in the Chiloe area, they put Ithaka to bed for 6 months while they travelled by land through South America. In October 2016 they returned and sailed through the Patagonian channels and the Beagle Channel arriving in Puerto Williams just before Christmas. In 2017 they sailed to Ushuaia and then east across the Le Maire Straight to Staten Island and then to the Falklands. They left the Falklands in March and sailed to Brittany, France, via Brazil and the Cape Verdes. Ithaka is now on the hard in Brittany and, up for sale, waiting for her next adventurers to join her.
