[status] Last night was a mixed bag. Most of the night was excellent sailing in about 18 knots, with strength up and down a lot on the clouds, not rain squalls fortunately. At about 2 in the morning (Fiji time now) the wind headed and died a lot. We decided to motor-sail for a while and give batteries a bit of a charge. A loud squealing sound as the motor started runnng was a huge concern, but it seems to have gone away now.

[status] Very nice day of sailing yesterday but wind died off early this morning and we are now motoring. Wonderful to just sit and read or listen to books and music.
