[status] The wind is slowly starting to come around a bit more to the east and we?re heading more towards Barbados. The forecast suggests the wind will lighten and go more easterly over the next few days. Would be nice to get the wind aft of the beam again on a more comfortable point of sail. We?re doubled reefed with part of the head sail furled away and moving along at about 7 to 8kt with a favorable current.

DAY 21 Still cruising along with 14 kts on the beam. Another starry night. No rain. Our average speed since midnight has been 6.9. Not too shabby.
Hard to believe we've been offshore for 3 weeks. After about the first 5 days, time sorta stops until we get close to our destination. At least, on an easy passage, which this has certainly been.

We departed Port Lincoln Marina at 0700 hours this morning after loading diesel fuel AND after a fairly hectic and somewhat nerve wracking, couple of days of maintenance and preparation, tied up in the marina, next to Cookie, in her beautifully maintained Island Packet yacht, Island Pearl.

Well.....after much planning and preparation we are finally away on the first leg of the next adventure of Ambler 2.
We departed Marina Adelaide shortly after 0600 hours this morning in calm conditions and motored most of the way to our turning point, near Edithburgh, before our current sailing breeze set in.
