We must free ourselves of the hope that the sea will ever rest. We must learn to sail in high winds.

[s]We just had us a real gullywasher, by golly! And while it's pretty warm
here, or at least comfortable, that rain was COLD! 145 miles to go. We don't
know if we want to try to get in Sunday night or slow down and go in Monday
morning. We'll see.[END]

[status] Underway Tonga, 24 18 S - 178 01 W. Wind sill light and from behind, jibing down wind, very slowly. Meat line is out and we are hoping for tuna! Main radar display at nav stn went dark and it operates the pilot house unit so we are running blind at night to Tonga, need to find a fix on that one. Dont think percussive maintenance is an option here.
