<p>Tied to the end of pier in Tauranga Marina Society during Covid-19 Lockdown. Been here since 10 March 2020.</p>
On Ian's mooring in French Farm at Akaroa probably for the next 2 weeks at least. So far 2 offers of vehicle to do shopping when required from these amazingly generous folk down here.
Made it to Prince of Wales marina this morning. Got off the boat and touched ground for first time in Tassie.
Just returning to Nelson after ten wonderful, peaceful days at D'Urville Island.

Sadly, this is our final post as we have sold The Southern Cross to new owners Deborah and Rusty. We wish everyone save and happy travels.
Tucked in near Man o War bay for the NW blow that’s about to come through. We have moved aboard for the summer. Hauraki Gulf for a week or two then heading to Bay of Islands

ZMG2970 Deo Volente is a 14m centre cockpit ketch. A Hartley Tahitian built in Nelson, NZ. Nick & Roe purchased her in 2012, sailed to Brisbane July 2014. Returning to Nelson December 2019
Latest Anchorages
Great holding in 5-8m on sand and light seagrass. A bit rolly, particularly further out in the bay.
Mixed coral and sand bottom. 10-15m. Nice beach on this side of the island.
Tuck in behind the reef in 9m on sand for best protection from the sea.
Anchor in 15m or so in sand. We experienced light roll coming from two directions so little point setting the stern anchor.
There is plenty of room on sandy bottom on the northeast side of Lelepa Island.
