Baie de Kanumera, the adjacent bay, is equally beautiful and slightly more sheltered. Baie d'Upi on the eastern side is remarkable for its cathedral-like pine forest fringing the beach. The anchorages are connected by short walking tracks and are within easy dinghy range of each other.
