[s]Sailed until almost noon and then very light winds. Now motoring in the lighter winds and sailing when the wind rises above around 6kts. One small tuna caught. Hooked something big at sunset but it bent two of the big tremble hooks back. Some lightening after midnight as expected in this area.

[status] A frustrating morning of motoring through rain, light headwinds and a confused lumpy sea gave way around midday to increasingly good weather and sailing conditions. We?ve been sailing really nicely all afternoon in a building ENE and as we?ve gotten further from the coast and into the favourable current we?ve been roaring along.

Conditions not ideal with grey sky, rain and a confused sea caused by east swell and north east chop. The light wind is not helping.
Have been doing a bit of sailing but now motor sailing.

[s]On our way north. Forecast winds were for single digit winds and we had 18-22 kts from behind for most of the day. Nice. By the middle of the night the winds are back as forecast ranging from 6 to 9 kts so slow going but not uncomfortable.
