[status] We arrived in Viani Bay on Sunday and left Tues after two great dives on Rainbow reef. We tied to a mooring ball at Paradise Resort (Taviuni)on Tuesday night. The SE trades have picked up today and we had a great 35 nm sail to Koro with just a partially rolled Genoa. We now have this beautiful anchorage to ourselves. Our power issues continue so we are heading west instead of our original plan to go to Fulaga.

[s] After a stop at Somosomo for some restocking of the larder (not much as the shelves were pretty empty), I moved over to Buca Bay. Should be in the area through the weekend at which point I will head to Savusavu. Lost another lure today. Must be BIG fish around here!

[status] Tuesday ..... and we're now in Bora Bora ........ the weather stayed fair and we had the best sail since we departed Auckland some 8weeks ago, arriving off Bora Bora at 10pm on Saturday evening (some 32hrs after departing Rangiroa) and cracking open a cold beer at midnight once safely anchored outside the Bora Bora Yacht Club ....... the ladies were extremely happy!!

Saw gusts to 40 knots just an hour ago but they didn't last long. It was
behind us so not too bad. It's kind of a rough ride. We're hoping it's a lot
better in the morning. We should be at Minerva sometime during Thursday
night or in the wee hours of Friday morning.

Talked to Kozmo on the radio today. They were 30 miles due west of us at
about 2 PM. They're hand steering but Pam sounded great.
