The cabin of a small yacht is truly a wonderful thing; not only will it shelter you from a tempest, but from the other troubles in life, it is a safe retreat.

[weather] It?s night time, the stars are out, as is the full moon. The swell is 1 to 2 metres, the sea is an inky shiny veil.

[status] 20180625 00700 UTC. 2 POB, Douglas & Morgan, all is well. Destination Fiji. Another night & day of fantastic sailing. Stays'l only last night helped us through 15 or so squalls, two with 2-minute sustained winds of 43, with gusts to 50 kts. Today was another brilliant sunny day, with a steady 25 kts., sailing at 7 kts. most of the day, with just a single reefed 110% genoa.

[s] Just in case the update at lunch time with image upload has not show up.
We have had another beautiful day. Preparing dinner and waiting for the sunset. Engine is on for 2 hours just for battery charging. It is perfect sailing condition today! My guess we are close to 8 on average.

[status]We are still at Nananu-i-ra and enjoying the kiting. The wind is slowly building and the kite size is getting smaller. Whistler and ourselves did go out for dinner at Wananavu Resort on Saturday to watch France get dicked. Great game and good food.

[status] The enhanced winds predicted for the next several days looked a bit less strong to the east of us, so we moved a ways up the coast to Vunisinu Bay. It's a smaller version of Bua Bay (though still fairly large): surrounded by mangroves, shallow with a mud bottom, no villages.

[weather] Wind SE 15k. Sea SE 0.2m. Baro 1015 and steady. Cloud 30%.
