Good SW winds of 14-18kn last night had us reaching at 7-8 kn through the night. At 0500 an unexpected rain squall got the crew up & motivated us to reef quickly. Great crew work. Blue sky with cumulus clouds to windward, looks like a bumpy, great day ahead.. 300 n miles to Go All well onboard

Hello salty sailors. Trust you have had another fair day. As many are counting at this time of the year (for another reason) only 2 sleeps to go. Great to hear the crew is still working well after nearly 3 weeks! It will be over all too soon, though I'm sure it feels like not soon enough right now. Tuna for dinner - again??? Caught up on Shirl's report from Sat phone call via Barb so all up to date. Go the brave of Bravado! Look forward to seeing you all a little later in the week. K xxx

Going great guns guys. Good to hear all crew are pulling their weight for last minute sail changes. We've got cracking wind in Gisborne, hoping you have a cracking tail wind too. xx Linda and Al

Hi Al and Shirl, Hopefully you will have the sun soon. We can now report that this morning the new, more powerful drive motor and drive belt for the autopilot arrived from NZ and Pieter has just finished installing them. He is very confident that we can now look forward to more enjoyable cruising now that all the steering problems have been fixed. When the weather clears this week we will commence our cruising along the Eastern routes and down through the Laus. We think that Valuga must be an amazing anchorage and hope to be there sometime soon. Cheers from Thumbs Up
