Left Oyster Bay yesterday heading to The Banks and sailed to Gaua, nice pleasant sail with 15 knots. Hooked up a big Marlin that gave us a spectacular dancing show before breaking Mick Hall's Ebay lure and smoking the drag on the reel ! Welcomed to the anchorage of Pwetevut Bay by 3 canoes full of locals. Today Mark is attempting to be an outboard motor mechanic for the local village here. Cheers Mark and Hayley

So I can only assume Mark is blaming my lure for the loss of the marlin?

Ahoy! Loving your pics, looks so majestic over there, cant wait to see you both soon xx

Hi Sailors, It's good to see you on the map again! Poor Marlin.. oh well you gave her a workout I suppose, that's what they do - fly across the water ... I bet happy fishy today - you should know to stay away from those big fish! Hope the winds are good for your return journey home, you mustn't be far away from leaving that beautiful place. I bet the locals were happy with Mark's marine mechanic skills. Safe travels, will be watching you 😊 Xx

Spent a wonderful 9 nights at Anelghowhat Bay, opposite Mystery Island, lots of snorkelling, swimming & paddle boarding, had a memorial drift dive where the boat boys decided to have a nap and forgot us, thought we were about to make 'Open Water 2' ! Lots of walks meeting lovely friendly locals. Headed north and anchored at Port Patrick last night and tonight, they copped a heavy whack here from Cyclone Pam. Heading to Port Resolution at Tanna Island tomorrow.

After spending a few nights at Baie de Kuto we moved around to Baie de Ugo, we've had glorious weather and been doing plenty of paddling on the boards and snorkelling. Fish are scarce but they're are now plenty of sharks with lots of bling in their mouths. This bay would have to be the nicest of all the Isle de Pines bays, plenty of crystal clear aqua lagoons to explore. After the giving one of the local indigenous some gifts we feel much more welcome and have had no incidence of being 'moved on'. Will be heading around to Gadji tomorrow, the next bay around and also beautiful.
