Put out Big Red our parasail this morning. A slow mellow day with not a lot of wind although thankfully it is beginning to increase and the weather forecast looks good for the rest of our trip. No fish caught today, only a stupid bird. Thankfully we were able to untangle him. He seemed fine, although a tad angry, as he flew off.

On our way to Vanuatu. Caught a large tuna this morning, so fresh ceviche and seared tuna on the menu. Have had a good trip so far with some great sailing.
We are sad to leave beautiful Fulaga, as well as wonderful old and new friends, but it is time to move on. Two weeks was not enough. We are heading west to spend a month in Vanuatu, will check out in Lautoka
Waiting for the right weather paid off. Had a perfect overnight sail down from Vanuabalavu to Fulaga. Even arrived at planned time to navigate the pass, not for the faint hearted even then. Looking forward to exploring what looks to be a spectacular area. Hope to be here two weeks.
Fabulous overnight sail to Vanua Balavu in mill pond conditions, but enough wind to sail in 6 knots at 4 knots over the ground. Will the full moon it was magic. Will be here for a while before heading south. Stunning area.
Gorgeous day. On our way to Vanua Balavu in Lau Group. Viani Bay was beautiful, wonderful community, stunning sunsets and rainbow reef on the doorstep. It was hard to leave, but weather window beckons.
1500 hrs 6 June. Instead of plan A to head to Viani Bay, we opted for plan B and had a great sail to Koro Island. Got to love the weather. Now anchored just off Black Reef and have the bay to ourselves, perfect. Not sure how long we will stay, may grab a weather window and head to Taveuni in the next few days. Slowly making our way east towards the Lau Islands.

28 May arrived safely this morning in Savu Savu. Fabulous to be back in the islands, beautiful sunset this evening. Will be checking in tomorrow morning before moving onto outer islands for chill time.
0600 hrs 25 May. Have had quite the sporty ride, but the seas and wind seem to be settling down. Have been on bare poles and a hankie of a geni for the last few days. Now taking it slow so not to arrive at the weekend. Time to do some fishing.

1500 hrs 22 May. We are over half way to Fiji, Savu Savu with approx. 525nm to go. Getting warmer, but cloudy, windy and rough. Very confused seas, but we are doing well. Wind down to 25 knots from the east, as are the waves at 4 meters. Three reefs and a hanky of a genni out.

Ta-b loves this kind of sailing, she may not be very fast, but she is certainly comfortable. Have covered approx 450 nm. Wind now 20-22 knots at 1600 hrs 20 May. Swells up to 3.5 meters, but easing.
Left BOIs at 1700 hrs 18 May and have had a great first 24 hours at sea. Ta-b covered 170 nm with winds mostly 15-20 knots, slightly sloppy, but no big swells. 1700 hrs 19 May wind now dropping.
Great to see you are fit and
