sailing. Their alternator is wired direct to battery so dont know why there is noise when motoring.
We started early this morning, 0430, when the wind rose to 35 gusting 45knots over a period of about 15mins with pouring rain. Rather a rude awakening! We held ok and by midday it was down to 20-25knots so we left for North Minerva sailing with headsail only. After a rolly ride in 4m waves we anchored here at 1650. It was supposed to be low tide but the reef was awash presumably because of the 4m

t's been a great day here. The weather improved, somewhat unexpectedly, and was sunny for long spells. We've been snorkelling twice in crystal clear water with lots of fish. We're planning to head for North Minerva reef tomorrow, a distance of about 20nm. If we get there early enough we're going to hunt for crays under the boulders on top of the reef. We'll be there Monday so will get another chan

Not much to report today. The wind has stayed down, less than 5 knots and variable so we've been motoring since early this morning. Lots of sun so shorts and t-shirts. We're about 300nm from Opua and 480nm from Minerva. It's looking like light winds for the next 3-4 days so we're probably going to be motoring for most of the way. Just finished dinner and getting ready for the night.

Tusi 2 - Tusi 2
Tusi 2 left Marsden Cove yesterday at 1300 heading for Minerva then Lautoka. After a fast ride last night, over 9 knots for short periods, with a 20-25knot westerly, the wind has now (1400 Wednesday) backed to the SSW and dropped to about 15 so the crew is soaking up the sun.
