Contact with Maritime Radio was a bit broken. This report received by them at 12 19pm today. Propagation is not easy in the middle of the day. Better to call morning or evening.

Amazing speeds on and off last night. Even a peak of 11! GHRadio is away from the radio until Tuesday so no reports . I will check with Maritime Radio to get any position he has during this time.

departing Isle of Pines for NZ today - single handing

heading to Noumea to check out and will leave from Isle of Pines Monday with the flotilla

in Muscat Cove and will be there about a week before heading to savisavu

Great weather for landfall. jack will anchor at Momi Bay tonight as will get in late. Onwards tomorrow. GHRadio have had confirmation from Fiji Customs so no problems there with late arrival. Happy landfall Jack.

jack sounded alert after a good snooze in the light conditions . Woke up to the pleasant wind so is sailing.

great sailing yesterday until about 5pm. Off to Fiji with just a small front to contend with.

In the front and the wind will be east quad on the nose for a few days so Jack will think of going into isle of Pines in the southern lagoon of new Caledonia. he is just south of there. This would be a good idea as he would not make much progress towards Fiji with the look of the wx.

Jack sounds really happy as he has been sailing for 36hrs in lovely conditions. All well. Tomorrow he will be due south of New Cal so good progress.

He will get ssw10 tomorow so that will help sail. We did a survey of boats going to Fiji and very few got an acknowledgement! One said they got one eventually. One said they got a reply and were wished a good passage! Most got nothing. Jack has got the copy of the email that said they have the form so no problems. It seems you just arrive!

about 200nm out from Gold Coast. Hoping to go direct to Fiji. Awaiting the arrival of his pre arrival notification from the slow response Fiji folk! GHRadio will hopefully hear from Jack's daughter but otherwise patricia will contact Fiji again.
