Leaving Koumac for Noumea.
Very isolated in the far north of New Caledonia. Also anchored at uninhabited Ile Balabio. Good fishing in passes between submerged coral reefs. Electronic charts accurate so far and Nav marks in place.
New Cal coastline between Touho and Puebo is stunning with La Poule rock formation at Hieghene and the Tao water cascades the highlights. Touho was a great overnight anchorage. The local shop in the bay sold everything from baguettes, bras and eggs to petrol cans! Next door is the Marche open on Wed and Sat mornings
Ouvea anchorage off Paradis Resort, Mouli Is. in 4.6m white sand
