Welcome back to the Caribbean!! Arrived in Tobago; Woooohooo! At anchor in lovely bay. Ready to party! Only 60 nm to go to complete our circumnavigation!!

Sailing with full main, genoa and staysail. Wind and current pushing us at a whopping 9-10 knots. Only 189 nm to Tobago and our last night at sea!

Sailing on a beam reach, ENE winds at 12-14knots, doing between 7-8 knots on a slightly bumpy sea. Almost half way!!

We have left Iles du Salut this morning for Tobago. Since then we have been dodging squalls and forever changing sail configuration to maintain speed and course. Luckily the 3-4 knot current that assisted us from Brazil is still with us!!

Just anchored at Ile Royale after a black night riddled with squalls and wind shifts! Happy to be here for a few days rest.

We have finally entered French Guyana waters after 7 days sailing along the Brazilian coast! Sailing beautifully on a broad reach in 15knots of wind. One more sleep to go before landfall with 95nm to go.

After a squally night and boisterous morning, sailing on a beam reach at 8knots with 10-15knots of NE winds.

2 more sleeps before destination at Ile Royale.

Sailing with poled genoa and main despite the light winds. Sun came out today after hiding all day yesterday. Less than 500nm to go!!

Squalls and rain kept us busy all day with sail changes. Some motoring due to lack of wind. Crossed the equator this morning in good cheer despite the grey skies. Just managed to set the sails wing-on-wing and sailing along at 7-8 knots.

A challenging day in terms of wind shifts, hence sail changes. Lots of squalls around us taking the wind out of our sails, while the weed puts the fish off our lures. Otherwise all well; about 100nm from the equator!

Haven't changed sailing configuration for about 36 hours! Still poled out. Smoking along at 8-10 knots today due to favorable current. Let's hope this keeps going!

Left Jacare, our last port in Brazil, this morning en route towards French Guiana. Sailing poled out at about 6 knots in 15 knots of Southerly winds

Motor sailing with winds forward of the beam. Hoping to ease sheets once around Recife. Otherwise all good, hot and sunny and fish for dinner as we caught a nice size tuna. Less than 150nm to go.

Left Salvador this morning en route for Jacare. A better start today than last Friday,when we had squalls, confused seas and head winds. None of which showed on our weather models! Anwyay, beautiful sailing day today.

We decided to leave yesterday heading for Jacare. The weather wasn’t as predicted as we encountered heavy seas and winds on the nose when they were predicted to be from the south! The conditions were miserable so we headed back in to an anchorage further into the bay, waiting...

We were hoping for a diesel free trip, but might have to turn the engine on in the next hour or so if we want to make landfall by day break tomorrow. Only 90nm to go. Champagne in the fridge!!!

After a lovely morning at good speeds, wind is now slowly dying. Less than 48 hours to go!

Sailing "wing-on-wing" at 6-7 knots. Quite a few squalls about so we put the spinnaker to bed last night! 365nm to go!

Still slowly moving forward at top speeds of 4-5 knots! The good news is that we caught a beautiful king fish yesterday, the bad news is we lost him as we were hauling him into the cockpit!!

Very pleasant sailing conditions, still with Spinnaker and poled headsail. Happy Easter!

Changed the spinnaker for the main sail early this morning as winds were picking up! Sailing along at 6.5 to 8 knots depending on the whim of the wind which is slightly inconsistent. All well!

Celebrated half way point an hour or so ago. Sailing nicely under a beautiful sky with spinnaker and poled genoa.

Fortunately the winds picked up yesterday evening and all day today. They are starting to calm down and the residual swell is making us rock'n'roll!! We are almost at half way. Wooohooo!

Sailing very, very slowly (4.5knots) as winds seemed to have vanished. Otherwise, beautiful sunny days with still a few squalls about

Haven't touched the sail configuration for over 24 hours. Squalls which have been present since our departure seem to have dissipated. Sailing in bumpy seas at 7knots

Left St-Helena this morning, have been working on sail configuration non-stop as winds extremely variable!

Welcome to St-Helena! Arrived in darkness, anchored and early this morning picked up a mooring! Will be here a few days or more!

Sailing along and rolling as winds have lightened. The good news is that we only have 82nm to go, making it a night time arrival!

Crossed the line last night, in good cheer! Now back in the Western Hemisphere. Sailing with reefed main and reefed headsail poled out. Sea are boisterous but manageable. Only 238nm to go!!

A bit rolly as we have headsail poled and full main. The good news is that we passed half-way mark!!

Left Luderitz 5 hours ago. Started with rough seas but caling down now. Sailing with one reef in main at 6.5/7knots 15/20 knots of wind from S.

On a mooring in Luderitz! Blowing 25-30 knots!!!

Motor sailing since the early hours as wind died. Caught big blue fin tuna, or so we think! 158 miles to go!
