Approached NZ with a lively sail. At night the wind dropped and we sailed gently along the coast to Marsden Cove and arrived at the Quarantine dock this morning at 7 am. We have now cleared in with customs and bio-security and are moored a few berths further to the customs dock at Marsden Cove Marina.

Had a peaceful night sailing at 3-4 knots in light SSW winds, now sailing beautifully and making good progress. Will arrive early morning. Caught a beautiful 6kg white tuna. Looking forward to dinner tonight and a glass of wine to celebrate this passage4

motion is getting more comfortable as sea is reducing. Wind on the nose, blowing us further to the East, not ideal. Looking forward to getting more Southwards hopefully soon.

Glad the wind turned to SSW all day at 15 to 22 knots, which gives us a very close angle towards our destination, sailing at 51 to 60 degrees to the wind, Kahia is hopping through the waves like a rocking horse with the hydrovane as happy tail doing a superb job steering us. Sorry to hear our SSB transmission is bad, not the best time to check the terminals. We are grateful to Astarte for giving a brilliant relay.
