108nm to Opua. I will slow down later and heave-to in the Bay of Islands so as to arrive tomorrow AM. Had an Albatross around the boat yesterday, very nice! The wind cooperated yesterday afternoon and was able to sail on course at around 6kn all afternoon. Although it is on the nose again this AM it is light and fuel should not be a problem today.
Be careful about hoving to in

Clear blue sky, flat sea, and very little wind. Very chilly last night, but just remembered Gail left a hot water bottle! Maybe not so shivery tonight! I figure to have about 10 gallons of diesel on arrival at present course and speed. The gribs show very light wind all the way but North Cape radio is expecting 10-15 knots from the south (on the nose) tomorrow and that might change things! Planning to arrive in Opua day after tomorrow.

The weather is beautiful! Now if the wind would just cooperate! Still a big swell, up to 4 meters before from SW, but long enough period to not be a problem other than slowing Addie a bit. Addie likes light wind and smooth seas which we almost have. Sailing into a high with no wind at all likely for the next couple of days and almost enough diesel to make the remaining 317nm to Opua. So trying to squeeze as much distance from this wind as possible before it dies.
